Fantasia is an oddball of the Disney canon. There is no story, no continuity, no characters, no spoken dialogue apart from the MC Deems Taylor, and it is one of the rare entrants into the canon to use any live-action footage, blurring the lines of it being both “animated” and a “narrative film”. Its blend of experimental animated visuals with beautiful music made its presentation unlike any other film, and it is held up frequently as the pinnacle of both animated and concert film as mediums.
